The Good Timers Dance Band was developed when St. Lukes Catholic Church in Middleburg, Florida developed a need for a fund raiser in order to support an international music exchange between musicians and vocalists in Poland and here at St. Lukes in late 2014. We thought in order to get the ball moving, our first fund raiser would be a Polka for Poland Party. We the St. Lukes Church Choir were asked if we could develop a group of instrumentalists and vocalists to support this event. So, all of the members of The Good Timers are parishioners of St. Luke's and volunteered their time, treasure and talent to this great cause.
On August 17, 2013 The Good Timers made there first appreance at St. Lukes Church Hall....The event was a complete sell out and the fall out, from that charity event, was many inquires from the attendees wanting to know if we could play their upcoming events. So without even a formal name the GOOD TIMERS DANCE BAND was born.
